GREENHOUSE: Sow from Feb. 15th - Apr. 1st for late April and early May flowers (approx. 8 - 10 weeks before selling season). 1 oz/28 g sows 8 (20 x 12 in./51 x 31 cm) flats at 900 - 1000 seedlings per flat. For best results use bottom heat maintaining a soil temp of 80°F/27°C. Cover seed with 1/4 in/6 mm of soil, keep moist using tempered water. Transplant about 25 days after sowing. Grow at 50°F/10°C for stocky plants.
DIRECT SOWING: Sow outside anytime after June 1st. Transplant in 3 weeks about 8 in/20 cm apart. A systemic insecticide to control red spider, once a month during the summer is recommended.
