Used in ancient times as a medicinal herb, celery is incredibly rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. This combined with the fact that it has no calories makes it a winning vegetable all around. Celery is one of the more difficult vegetables to grow, so beginner vegetable gardeners are not encouraged to try. However, gardeners that are up to a challenge love to grow this very versatile veggie. Make sure you provide the plants with plenty of water, sun and rich, well composted soil.
