Latin Name: Cobaea scandens
Item #: 818
Annual Climber Approx. 300 seeds per oz/28 g
CULTURE: Seeds germinate rather slowly so seed should be started indoors about 6 weeks before transplanting outside. Sow seeds on their edges 0.25-0.5 in/6-13 mm deep, in Jiffy-7s or 2.25 in/6 cm peat pots. Place a small stick in the center of the pot to encourage the vine to climb and prevent plants from becoming entangled in the growing area. Germinate at 65-70°F/18-21°C soil temp. Grow plants at 60°F/16°C to prevent too much soft growth. Trellis or stake where they are to bloom. Wait until mid June before you set plants outside they are rather tender. Outdoor seeding should be delayed till June 15th blooms earlier from an indoor seeding.
