CULTURE: Sow March 1st for June blooms. 0.25 in/6 mm deep at 75-80°F/24-27°C soil temp. during the day and 60°F/16°C at night for 14-21 days. Transplant into 2.25-3 in/6-8 cm peat pots.

DIRECT SOWING: Sow in warm July soil. Transplant in August where they are to bloom the following year. Soil should be rather sandy and well drained. Cover seed lightly, 0.25in/6 mm deep and keep the ground well shaded until germination occurs. Space plants 12 in/31 cm apart. Plants flower quite heavily each June with a few secondary blooms throughout the summer. An excellent source of long stemmed cut flowers. Mature plants will not survive division attempts but seem to last 3 or 4 years. Easy to grow and attracts pollinators.
