DIRECT SOWING: Sow outdoors like squash, June 10th. 1/4 - 1/2 in./6 - 13 mm deep. Space seeds @ 3 per hill in rows or trellis vines on a sturdy fence for cleaner fruit.

HARVEST: Pick when completely ripe, do not bruise fruit. Wash with a strong disinfectant to remove dirt and fungi - which may cause rot. Spread fruit on a raised screen so that they do not touch - to dry. Turn the fruit regularly during drying period - usually 3 - 4 weeks. When dry - wax fruit with a dry cloth and floor wax.
