Item #: 610Z
Suitable for Containers:
Suitable for Small Pots
Perennial (8-12 in/20-31 cm) Approx. 16,500 seeds per oz/28 g
GREENHOUSE: Sow Jan. 15th for May perennial sales. Soak seed for 3 hours before seeding. Sow as thin as possible in seedling mix @ 70°F/21°C soil temp. for 25 days. Keep Moist, cover seed lightly. Transplant about 2 months later. A nice neat plant for rock gardens and early spring cutting.
DIRECT SOWING: Seed may also be broadcast (sown direct) in August. You must make divisions the following Sept. as cuttings do not root easily and undivided clumps soon die out, loosing vigor. Armeria likes well drained soil and full sun for good blooms. Stem rot develops in moist areas. Cut flowers are very early, last about 6 days and may be dried as an everlasting type.
