Sorbet's F1 vigor assures greater germination, earliness and plug and garden performance. Early-blooming Sorbet remains compact in both heat and cold, making it a standout performer in Spring and Fall. Free-flowering plants perform across a wide range of climatic conditions and have excellent over-wintering. Pkt. contains 20 seeds.

VIOLA

Perennial
Approx. 31,000 seeds per oz/28 g

CULTURE: Most growers treat Violas as an annual. For May blooms sow Dec. until Feb. 1st. An oz/28 g of seed sows eight (12x20 in/31x51 cm) flats @ 700 seedlings per flat. Pre-cool @ 35-40°F/2-4°C for 24 hours. Cover seed lightly with sand or Jiffy Mix. Cover flat (needs darkness for germination) with newspaper or black plastic. Soil temp 70-75°/21-24°C at seed level (bottom heat). Average germ. in soil 60-70% in 10 days. Use low acid soil (pH) when transplanting. Grow seedlings at 45-50°F/7-10°C for better growth. For larger spring blooms, sow by July 5th into raised and fresh soil beds, keep weeded. Cover with straw mulch during winter.
