Fuseables Multi-Species (Petunia x Bacopa)
AnnualApprox. 9,765 to 10,900 seeds per oz/28 gr. (Multi-pelleted)
GREENHOUSE: Use a well-drained seedling medium with a pH of 5.5- 6.0 and an EC of 0.75 (1:2 extraction). Can be produced in a 288, 105/128, 72 liner or similar size plug tray, but recommend 105/128 cells or larger. Do not cover the seed. Water adequately after sowing to completely dissolve the pellet. Germination takes approx. 4 days. Maintain 100% RH until radicals emerge. Germination temperature is 71-76°F/22-24°C and lighting is beneficial. Keep soil very wet for optimal germination followed by slightly reduced soil moisture to allow the roots to penetrate into the media. Reduce temperature to 68-76°F/20-24°C with lights up to 2,500 f.c. Apply fertilizer at less than 100 ppm N/less than 0.7 EC from nitrate-form with low Phosphorous. Continue by reducing temperature to 65-70°F (18-21°C) and allowing media to dry further until surface becomes light brown before watering. Keep the moisture to wet-dry cycle. Increase fertilizer to 100-175 ppm n/ 0.7-1.2 EC. If growth is slow, apply a balanced ammonium and nitrate-form fertilizer with every other fertilization. Maintain a pH of 5.8-6.2 and EC of 1.0-1.5 (1:2 extraction). Maintain the moisture and fertilizer levels, but reduce temperature to 59-64°F (15-18°C) and increase light to 5,000 f.c. till end of plug production. Growing on to finish, use 10-12” bowls or baskets with 3 plugs in each at night temperatures of 56-64°F/13-18°C and day temperatures of 62-76°F (17-24°C). Total crop time for 10-12” containers with 3-5 plants per container is 10-12 weeks in spring and 8-10 weeks in summer.
