CULTURE: Sow indoors from early Dec. throughout the winter months, in pots, every two weeks for a continuous supply. Matures from seed in about 4 or 5 weeks during winter months. Sow outdoors thinly at 6 seeds per in/25 mm; 1/4 in/6 mm deep, cover seed lightly and firm. Thin to 1 1/2 in/4 cm apart. Tender young leaves may be eaten in 15 days. Peppergrass does not do well during hot weather, so seeding should be discontinued during mid-summer months but is an excellent source of pungent parsley - like salad material during spring and fall.
