Flower power is no understatement for this beauty as large masses of golden flowers adorned with rusty red rings cover the 'Denver Daisy' from late spring until first frost. Strong, dense flower stems (45-50 cm tall) ensure that the 'Denver Daisy' will not flop or fall over in adverse weather conditions.

RUDBECKIA (Gloriosa Daisy)

For late summer blooms, sow Mar. 15th. - Apr. 1st. indoors. Sow outdoors in June for blooms the following summer. Cover seed 0.25 in/6 mm deep transplant in 4 weeks, 16 in/41 cm apart. Keep well sprayed in July and August for insects. Cut flowers last up to 7 days if bleach is added to the water (to crystalize the stems). A light straw mulch provides winter protection.
COMMERCIAL GROWER: Sow Mar. 1st - Apr. 15th for husky green plants for May sales. Germinate at 70°F/21°C Soil temp. for 20 days (slow germination), cover seed with 0.25 in/6 mm of fine soil. Transplant about 4-5 weeks from seeding. Grow at 50°F/10°C. Used for perennial or annual bedding plant sales. Also produces excellent August cut flower material from a March sowing.
