GREENHOUSE: Sow March - April for June blooms. Germinate in total darkness at soil temp. of 70°F/21°C for 7-10 days. One oz/28 gr. sows approx. eight (20x12 in/51x31 cm) flats at 900-1,000 seedlings per flat. Cover seeds lightly. Culture is similar to Marigolds, Grow seedlings at 50°F/ 10°C. Transplant about 10-15 days from germination. Keep fairly dry, do not over-water.
HOME GARDEN: Sow outside in late May. Transplant seedling, or thin tall varieties to 16 in/41 cm apart, dwarf types 12 in/31 cm apart. Use a systemic insecticide every 20 days to control Red Spider.
