SHIPPING INFORMATION
Stokes Seeds reserves the right to ship via United Parcel Service ground service, Postal Service or truck whichever is most economical. Our method of shipping is prepaid to continental United States and Canada. Residents of HI, AK, PR and U.S. Territories - all orders over 1 lb. are subject to additional shipping charge of $2.00 per lb. A shipping and handling charge of $7.50 applies to all orders under $300.00.
Please allow approximately two weeks for delivery unless otherwise notified.
To ensure prompt and efficient delivery of your order please include your "911" or fire address if different from your postal address. For expedited services such as Next Day, 2nd Day and 3rd Day Select, Priority Mail and Purolator please call one of our telephone order representatives for a quote. Reminder - "No C.O.D.'s".
TAX INFORMATION - COMMERCIAL GROWERS
If you grow for resale you are considered a "commercial grower" and therefore must pay sales tax - unless you presently have a current tax exempt certificate on file with Stokes Seeds. Sales tax will be added to your order if you reside in the following states or province: NY,NY Farmer,PA,NJ,MI, MO and the province of Ontario. For your convenience we have included the different exemption certificates below.

If you are tax exempt - please print out the exemption form specific to your area, fill it out and mail or fax to our office. Failure to do so will result in applicable taxes being charged or the delay of shipment of your order until completed exemption certificate is received.
Credit Notes: In certain circumstances we will issue you a credit note for items not available or if you made an error in your order. These credit notes are redeemable at any time by phone or mail. If you wish to use one of these paper credit notes on your internet order, please enter your order in full and then in the "additional order instructions" box presented after your detailed order please indicate the credit note number printed on the face of the note. We will adjust your order when it reaches our office. If you have any questions of problems with this procedure please call our 800 number listed on the Contact Us page.
Redemption of credit notes for cash can only be done by calling or mailing our customer service department (see Contact Us for details). Please be sure to include the credit note number located on the face of the note along with the name and address for the check to be issued.
RETURN POLICY
RETURNED ITEMS: Unauthorized returns of seed or goods will be shipped back to the customer, collect. Authorized returns must be cleared with our head office and shipped back prepaid, within 30 days of receipt of the original order. A 10% restocking and handling charge will be charged on all items returned. Due to our high standards of quality we can only accept seed packages purchased within 30 days that have not been opened or damaged. We will exchange seed damaged in shipping but you must call or mail customer service for a return authorization. This will expedite the return of your new seed.
CROP FAILURES AND SUBSTITUTIONS: We are dealing with live products, many of which are harvested after our catalog has been printed. If a crop fails or develops a shortage, we reserve the right to pro-rate the item, substitute another item or refund your money. Please indicate your preference on your order.
By indicating you will accept a substitute, we will substitute an item of similar growing characteristics of an equal or greater value whenever possible. Your order will be shipped much faster by selecting this option. We do not substitute new items unless the seed will not be available this year.
